Marina News August 2020
Island Cove Marina – We have replaced the air conditioning system in the Club House. The Club House is open for use, by any of our Pensacola-Marina customers, on weekends and after hours during the week for special events and get togethers. You just need to reserve a date and time and clean up after the event. There is no charge unless you leave a mess and we must clean up after you. The event calendar is in the ship store so call or stop by from 9 to 5 any day to make a reservation. We recommend you follow CDC guidelines for your get togethers but that is up to you.
Palm Harbor Marina –– The new and improved Dingy dock is back in place. We added some additional floatation to handle extra weight, rebuilt the entire dock, and added custom built aluminum roller ramps with a winch. This will allow much easier launch and retrieval of your tenders. There is a minimal fee of $50 per month for dinghies using the dock. Let Ted know if you are interested in a spot. There are only 6 spots and 4 are already rented.
Yacht Harbor Marina ––You may see a pile of gravel in the parking lot for a short time. We are grading the parking lot this month. We had a slight delay in the project.
Gulf Power one-month rate reduction – Gulf Power discounted our electric bill for a One-Time Pandemic Relief, and we have rebated all of customers accordingly. Now they have announced they are going to have to increase rates because of the Pandemic. We don’t think it will effect the Marina power rates but it just depends how much, or if they raise the rates.
Marina thefts on Bayou Chico – We had a rash of thefts on Bayou Chico lately. Marine Max and Day Break seemed to have the biggest issue however items where also stolen from our marinas. Most of the reports where things like boat batteries, anchors, fishing poles, paddle boards, and small outboards. The thieves were identified and arrested with the help of some security camera footage. The lead investigator was officer Davis of the Pensacola Police. If you have any questions you can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
